The 2027 Stöckli Laser SL FIS is a true FIS-legal slalom race ski, hand-built in Switzerland for serious slalom racers. It's built around a tight slalom turn radius and narrow race-spec waist, and it's made to do one thing extremely well: rail short, tight, high-energy slalom turns at the highest level.

The rebound out of a turn is something special. Between the added beech wood in the core and the forward mounting point, this ski flings you into the next arc with real authority. It's the kind of energy you only get from a properly built race ski.

The Race Core is the heart of this ski, blending beech wood for stability and torsional stiffness with poplar for the right feel and responsiveness. Stöckli adds extra beech to this core for additional stability and a smoother ride, which makes a real difference on icy slalom courses where grip and composure matter most. The mounting point is moved slightly forward from neutral, which helps the ski initiate turns quickly and feel agile through the gates. Racing Sidewalls Black and Racing Edge deliver maximum edge hold, and the Race Base is tuned for speed. Size Optimized Construction means each length is built individually, so a 156 skis like a proper 156 rather than a shrunk-down version of a longer ski. Factory tune is set race-ready at 3.0 side and 0.5 base.
Things to consider:
This is a dedicated slalom race ski, which means the short turn radius and stiff, fully cambered build can feel hooky to anyone without real slalom technique. Skiers looking for a more forgiving carver with a similar tight feel should look at Stöckli's Laser SL (non-FIS) instead.
Fit & sizing considerations:
Men's SL racers typically run 165; lighter racers or those in age-class categories can drop to 160 or 156.
